JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 'Onboarding Coordinator' to join our People & Culture (HR) Team. Reporting to the Director of Talent & Engagement, this individual will be responsible for creating and implementing a world-class onboarding experience for new Team Members across all areas of our organization. Your primary focus areas will be ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and effective utilization of our current HRIS system (Ceridian Dayforce) for candidate management, data entry, and record auditing. This role will also support other areas of our People & Culture (HR) team, including talent acquisition, employee engagement initiatives, benefits and wellness.

** This position will work onsite in downtown Cleveland, OH a minimum of 40 hours per week.

** Local candidates preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the pre-start onboarding process for new hires in the HRIS system. This includes submitting and tracking background checks, verifying the completion of all applicable HR, payroll, and benefits forms, scheduling candidates for orientation sessions, etc.

  • Manage and facilitate new hire orientation by preparing and administering onboarding presentations for groups of 2-20+ new hires.

  • Primary point of contact for all new hires, providing welcome emails, assisting with setup and entering new hires into the HRIS system, ID badge creation, administering parking passes, etc.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs tailored to different roles within the organization, including full-time, part-time, unionized teams, and temporary/seasonal Team Members.

  • Coordinate with various Teams (departments) to ensure new hires have all necessary equipment, technology, and access to facilities.

  • Ensure all new Team Members have a firm understanding of the organization’s culture, values, and policies.

  • Facilitate introductions and meetings between new hires and key team personnel, including management, teammates, and support staff.

  • Assist with relocation services for new Team Members moving to Cleveland, OH.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal departments (i.e.- IT, Procurement, Security, etc.) to successfully resolve any challenges new hires experience.

  • Manage the offboarding process to include the delivery of exit surveys and interviews.

  • Track and analyze onboarding metrics to continuously improve the process.

  • Routinely audit records in HRIS system to ensure accuracy and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Team to coordinate, oversee, and attend various internal and external hiring events, such as career fairs.

  • Assist other areas of the People & Culture team as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, or a related field, is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably with an onboarding or talent acquisition focus.
  • Must have flexible availability and be comfortable with occasional weeknight and weekend responsibilities.
  • Must be willing and avaliable to work at least 1 evening per week, as this individual will be responsible for running our weekly P.M. onboarding sessions.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems, preferably Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking, as this individual will give weekly pre-employment onboarding presentations to audiences of 2-20+ people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage and streamline the onboarding process efficiently.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations with discretion.
  • Experience in a high-volume, service driven environment.
