JOB TITLE: Training Ground Receptionist

DEPARTMENT: Training Ground Operations

JOB FUNCTION: A standalone role, to primarily act as the face of the Club as a front-of-house concierge on reception in the men’s team building; welcoming and signposting staff, players and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner and handling administrative tasks. The role will involve working closely with the Security, Facilities and Operations departments across the Cobham campus.

LOCATION: Cobham

CONTRACT: Permanent – 40 hours over any five days with flexibility to work approx. 10 weekends per year. Hours of work are 7.30am to 3.30pm.

PLAY YOUR PART:

  • Receive, greet and direct any visitors accordingly on their arrival to the men’s team building, including signposting all colleagues to areas that are accessible to everyone and ensuring guests avoid privacy areas.
  • Carry out administrative duties, including but not limited to: confirming meeting rooms, TV screen information share around the building, stationery ordering and other admin tasks as required.
  • Receive and sign for any deliveries arriving to Main Reception and manage the post room, including receiving and distributing accordingly all post-related items to players and coaching staff.
  • Receive and confirm staff work requests e.g. hot desk spaces, lunch provision and meeting spaces.
  • At the start of each day, liaise with the Facilities Manager to conduct spot checks related to broken items and cleanliness, reporting accordingly to the Facilities Helpdesk, as well as tracking ongoing progress of reported issues.
  • To assist and work closely with Security department to monitor building access.
  • Support the Facilities Manager to ensure all office and meeting room signage, health and safety notices, etc are kept up to date.
  • Work closely with relevant internal departments and staff to support open days, tours and other events.
  • Occasionally provide cover on reception in the Academy building
  • Hold, manage and distribute to authorised colleagues signed items and memorabilia, as and when required.
  • To carry out any other administrative duties as and when required.

  • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department

PROUD TO BE CHELSEA :

· Friendly & approachable, with the ability to develop good relationships with key stakeholders.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.

· Previous administration/operations experience essential.

· Demonstrable experience acting in either a reception or concierge capacity, dealing with high-profile individuals/clients/customers from various backgrounds and cultures.

· Ability to multitask and keep calm under pressure.

· Confident and effective communicator.

· Fluency in other languages beneficial e.g. French or Spanish

  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Team player who is enthusiastic and positive.

· Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, Teamworks, etc).
