Summary

The Systems Analyst role reports directly to the Director of IT and is responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and security of all IT Infrastructure for the Buffalo Sabres, HarborCenter and the Rochester entities. Including the installation, configuration, optimization, and support of new and existing wireless and physical network hardware, servers, and O365 services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees company system and network infrastructure including all network switches, firewalls, servers, storage, cloud services and other company network resources.
  • Design, configure, maintain, and administer diagnostic repair of the network infrastructure, systems, hardware, software and related networked PC issues.
  • Configure complex Network hardware and deploy with minimum down time, and ensure all networked appliances function properly.
  • Manage and maintain Disaster Recovery and business continuity plan for all franchises and sites. Restore data when requested.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve open issues related but not limited to network PC’s, printers, routers, switches, LAN, WAN, wireless connectivity, and other network related problems.
  • Update servers, software, hardware, and application as required. Ensure that Server maintenance, and monitoring is done on a daily basis and no work interruption is caused by server or Network Device failure.
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation related to network design, IP, subnets, software patches and upgrade.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Office 365 applications and features to meet business requirements.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within the Office 365 environment.
  • Implementing and managing Microsoft 365 mobile device management (MDM) policies and configurations.
  • Managing and maintaining third-party integrations with Microsoft 365 services.
  • Configuring and deploying Intune policies and profiles for mobile devices and applications.
  • Maintain a high level of confidential information.
  • Help ensure the 24/7 availability of all network systems, including the timely communication and resolution of problems affecting those systems.
  • Install and train employees on new software.
  • Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
  • Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new technology to meet business objectives and maintain industry standards.
  • Perform related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • Associates degree in Network Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of responsible Network Administrator experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of servers, switches, routers, firewalls and network security.
  • Strong Knowledge of Office 365 tools that include but are not limited to: Exchange Online, Sharepoint, One Drive, MFA, single sign on applications, MDM, and Entra.
  • Experience with the following preferred:
  • Windows 2012/2106/2019 servers
  • VMware ESXI
  • Windows 2010, 2011 Mac OS
  • Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls, IPS
  • Cisco switches/routers
  • Wireless technologies
  • Mobile device management with Intune
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, VPN, and VLANs.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures and practices related to network systems in a multi-faceted facility.
  • Ability to install and maintain software and hardware, including development and maintenance of appropriate documentation for each system and/or process.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with the staff, general public, vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Compensation

  • $57,512 to $79,082. NOTE: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
