JOB TITLE: Hitting Developmental Coach
DEPARTMENT: Player Development
LOCATION: Sarasota, FL

JOB SUMMARY: The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a full-time Hitting Developmental Coach for the 2025 Major League Baseball Championship season. This position will entail the merging of on-field coaching with the implementation of technology and data to develop and execute individual player plans on a daily basis at our Florida Complex as part of the 2025 FCL season.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

Monitor the creation, execution, and documentation of individual player plans
Manage the usage of technology and daily synthesis of data collected
Create visuals and analytical tools to incorporate in the coaching of players
Assist manager, hitting, pitching, and fundamental coach in daily on-field practice
Work directly with players to understand the data and technology being used
Will work out of Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, FL during spring training
Will work out of FCL Complex during the season and travel with the team for some games

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

Exceptional organization and communication skills
Understanding of how to use and interpret data from technologies such as Trackman, Blast Motion, Rapsodo, and K-Vest
Desire to work with both coaches and players on and off the field
Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and a growth mindset

Desired:

Proficiency in SQL
Spanish proficiency
Experience analyzing player performance
Ability to throw batting practice and execute cage work

The anticipated salary for this role is $40,000 - $45,000 annually depending on experience.
