Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $19.50 per hour


***Bonus pay: Hit $1,250 in sales during one shift and will receive an extra $15 for every $250 over $1,250 that night!

***Additional individual bonus on cumulative FY25 raffle ticket sales (sellers can earn up to $3,500)

Position Overview:

The San Jose Sharks are looking for highly motivated sellers who are reliable, organized, and outgoing to join our 50/50 Raffle Seller team for the 2024-2025 hockey season, beginning pre-season in September 2024! This position requires evening and weekend hours as scheduled for San Jose Sharks home games. The 50/50 raffle takes place at every Sharks home game, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the total raffle ticket sales (jackpot) and the Sharks Foundation receives the other 50% to support charitable organizations that fall in line with the Sharks Foundation's beneficiary qualifications. This is a seasonal position ending after the final home game (including playoffs).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously approach fans to explain the details of the 50/50 raffle program and offer the opportunity to purchase tickets.
  • Accurately facilitate the sale of tickets via various technology devices
  • Understand the mission of the Sharks Foundation
  • Must always wear an appropriate position-specific uniform during your shift.
  • The uniform includes an employer-issued Long Sleeve shirt and black pants, black shoes, and black socks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be available for at least 60% of home games.
    • Shifts will begin 2-hours before each game and end halfway into the third period for a total of around 4 hours per shift.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Is a team player in every sense of the word.
  • Has an outgoing, enthusiastic personality; enjoys working as a part of a team.
  • Ability to work with people of all ages.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Ability to process information in an organized and efficient manner.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate, transport, and manipulate certain equipment up to 25 pounds with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time
