Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $66,560 + variable

Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Position Overview

Team Teal is seeking to hire an Account Executive for our Membership Services department that embraces all aspects of our principles. Key responsibilities include building lasting relationships with our member base through phone calls, texts, emails and face-to-face appointments to ensure continuous membership renewal year after year. Membership Service, Account Executives will also be tasked with achieving established new business San Jose Sharks sales goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain client relationships that will result in client satisfaction and retention.
  • Create and track mandatory touch-point opportunities for each account/interaction.
  • Implement renewal cycle steps and meet deadlines as instructed.
  • Ability to maintain a high volume of outbound activity to complete established touchpoint campaign deadlines.
  • Act as main liaison between the San Jose Sharks and the ticket holder with the ability to independently assess customer concerns, and then effectively and appropriately remediate concerns.
  • Oversee execution and implementation of the client amenities and services to optimize client experience and maximize sales profitability.
  • Participate as a team member of the entire Ticket Sales department through informal support to other team members and support staff in order to maximize customer service, retention efforts, and sales performance as an entire department.
  • Interact with other Sharks/Arena departments to provide a cooperative, client-oriented focus for all operations.
  • Provide creative input and assertive follow-through to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify sales opportunities by conducting networking and aggressive outreach to client base.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; an advanced degree is a plus but is not required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is required, including at least six (6) months of direct experience, ideally as a member of an entry-level sales team in the sports industry.
  • Proven track record of sales excellence and development of client relationships in the sports industry.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, coachability and work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Exhibit good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekend, nights and holidays as required by schedule of events.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills, as well as ability to manage your own time and implement your own schedule.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics ticketing platform and CRM systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
  • Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
  • May be required to travel to other company locations
  • May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
