JOB TITLE: Rehab Pitching Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Player Development

JOB SUMMARY: The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a full-time Rehab Pitching Coordinator for the 2025 Major League Baseball Championship season. This position will oversee pitching-specific work of all complex-based rehab pitchers ranging from MLB Pitchers to Rookie Ball Pitchers. In conjunction with the pitching department, strength and conditioning department, and medical department, the Rehab Pitching Coordinator will assist pitchers’ development and execute prescribed programming to guide players’ return from injury. This position will assist Pitching Leadership in the integration of pitchers back to competition.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Design and execute daily pitching practice plans for the rehab pitchers.
  • Manage performance clearances with the pitching coordinator group and medical program.
  • Collaborate with the pitching coordinator group to design and execute individual player plans.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and strength coaches to identify and correct movement deficiencies in injured pitchers.
  • Utilize analytical tools and data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and development opportunities for Pitchers Arsenals.
  • Assist the FCL-Pitching group in Player Development Plans and practice.
  • Assist the Pitching Coordinator Group with Special Projects depending on each candidate's unique skill set.
  • Will work out of Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, FL during spring training.
  • Will work out of Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, FL aside from spring training.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

  • Exceptional organization and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Appreciation/Experience using data and information from technologies such as Trackman, Rapsodo, and Edgertronic Cameras.
  • Appreciation/Experience for functional movement and biomechanical development.
  • Intrinsically motivated, reliable, growth mindset.

Desired:

  • Former collegiate or professional playing experience
  • Exercise Science Degree
  • Experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • Experience as a Pitching Coach
  • Experience Rehabilitating Pitchers from Injury
  • A proven track of progress towards Spanish Fluency

The anticipated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 annually depending on experience.
