The Dockmaster will assist with overseeing all activity relating to the loading dock at Yankee Stadium, including deliveries, safety, and minimizing disruptions to the surrounding community. The regular hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., but the Dockmaster can expect to work longer hours on occasion, which could include nights, overnights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overseeing operations related to the loading dock at Yankee Stadium including, but not limited to, continually inspecting the area to ensure safety and efficiency, and swapping out compactors and containers as necessary.
- Approving deliveries to the loading dock on a timely basis, including by ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete, and coordinating with other departments on deliveries that require the use of the loading dock.
- Communicating within Stadium Operations to ensure daily requirements are met and special projects remain on schedule.
- Overseeing loading dock K9 detail (EDC).
- Overseeing security in the loading dock and coordinating delivery entry and access control to the loading dock with Lobby security.
- Monitoring local traffic conditions to prevent deliveries from obstructing traffic or otherwise negatively impacting the surrounding community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in operations.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize quickly.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, and the ability work in an outdoor stadium environment.
