Steward Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)

The Role


We are looking for a Steward Administrator on a fixed term basis to provide the daily administration of the casual stewarding workforce and support the team to deliver a safe environment at major events.

Your day-to-day


  • Steward Room Preparation - Ensure preparation, management and upkeep of the stewards room
  • Equipment Distribution - Distribution of all equipment e.g. radios, steward jackets and access cards, ensuring all successfully logged and returned on an Event day.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Cataloguing - Responsible for all organisation, supply and maintenance of equipment for the stewards and ordering of new and replacement items
  • Query Management - Ensure that all Steward queries are successfully resolved
  • Supervision of Casual Workers - Supervise and oversee casual event day administrators
  • Steward Booking - Manage the booking of function stewards to work at non match day events, ensuring all agreements and relevant documents are sent out and returned
  • Event Support - Support the Steward Event coordinator in the set up and running of both major and minor events
  • Reporting - Assist with the input of steward reports onto our in-house system

What we are looking for


  • Coordination Experience - Experience of coordinating events or meetings involving large numbers of people.
  • Major Events Knowledge - Previously worked at a major sporting event with an understanding of the scale and organisation required to run safely and efficiently.
  • Great Communication - Ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external customers
  • Flexibility and Adaptability - Flexible attitude to working hours
