Positional Analyst (Consultant)

The Project


We are looking for a number of  Positional Analysts to join us on a consultancy basis until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The project will be to technically evaluate and assess players across global markets, in order to generate shortlists for potential acquisitions and undertaking full due diligence and analysis on the shortlisted players, with a focus on video analysis.

These roles will be placed within the following spaces:

  • Senior & Global Emerging Talent
  • UK Emerging Talent & Youth

Project requirements


  • Generate shortlists of players in specific positions, undertaking full due diligence and analysis, with a focus on video analysis
  • Scanning and expanding coverage across appropriate markets for your specific position/regions
  • Creating shortlists of the most suitable players within the positional structure for the Senior team and Emerging Talent
  • Undertaking analysis and due diligence within the existing framework on the above players
  • Populating the centralised platforms with market intelligence to build the business’ intellectual property
  • Working on side projects to further inform Arsenal’s recruitment processes and workflows

What we are looking for


  • Talented and ambitious individuals, with sound knowledge and understanding of the game of football, can-do attitude, and a solid analytical background
  • Experience working as a performance analyst (or similar role) in professional football
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, a people-focused attitude, ability to build relationships and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to perform under pressure and deliver good quality work while on tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude to work towards a common team goal whilst providing an open mindset to bring new ideas and innovate
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, a people-focused attitude, ability to build relationships and work effectively with others, within a fast-paced environment
