Shortform Producer/Editor

The Role


We are looking for a Shortform Producer / Editor to ensure that our club is the market leader for forward-thinking shortform and vertical video content and drive the production unit to deliver operations effectively, creatively and cooperatively.

You will lead on shortform and vertical video content creation as well as overseeing edits across the department. Covering the Women’s and Men’s matchday suite as well as live shows and regular training ground access implementing the use of archive, motion graphics, animation and other mechanisms.

You will work closely with the senior content heads on a clear shortform video strategy for owned and social channels, the wider video production team on how all shortform content should be captured as well as the editorial and publishing team on what is consistently working well and how we can present our content for maximum impact.

Your day-to-day


  • Champion creativity and innovation - you’ll lead a small shortform team, be an expert in content and technology and continuously be aware of trends in content and technology, sharing your expertise with the wider team to drive progress and risk-taking
  • Sustain strong relationships across our club - you will participate in team meetings and brainstorms, collaborate with senior content heads to develop a clear strategy to then communicate and direct to the wider video Production, Editorial, Product and Editorial teams
  • Oversee and obtain high quality presentation - you’ll work with the Design team to ensure all our club content is visually consistent, implementing a strong eye for detail on the look and feel as well as formatting
  • Proactively produce content - you will passionately work across a wide variety of projects, producing and editing shortform content as well as overseeing edits across our team

What we are looking for


  • Proven experience in a similar content producing environment - you have substantial experience in producing and editing shortform for a high-profile brand or sports organisation
  • Expertise in shortform video creation - you will have experience in shortform / vertical video creation for owned and social platforms from both a production and distribution perspective
  • Software skills - you’ll have familiarity with editing and media management software
  • Exceptional attention to detail - you will have an excellent eye for detail with a strong knowledge of technology and workflows
  • Champion collaboration - you’ll have a strong team ethic and a collaborative mindset, understanding how to engage with different audiences all over the world
  • Passion for social media - you have a deep understanding of all social media platforms and what makes great content
  • Line management - you will have experience overseeing a small but specialist group of creators
  • Digital Platforms - you'll have previous experience of audience segmentation and A/B testing, experience of platform programming desired
