Coaching Operations Assistant

Job Summary:

The Coaching Operations Assistant will support the Head Coach and coaching staff by executing and conveying team vision and messaging. This role involves creating and managing presentations, maintaining a library of media resources, monitoring social media for relevant content, and handling various administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth coaching operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive, organized, and tech-savvy individual with a passion for football and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This exempt-level role requires a high degree of independent judgment and ownership over assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Messaging and Communication:

- Develop, create and maintain team presentations to carry out coaching messages.

- Ensure that the messaging is consistent and effectively communicates the coaching vision.

- Exercise independent judgment in interpreting the coaching vision and translating it into compelling presentations.

2. Content Management:

- Maintain and organize the coaching library of videos, photos, sayings, and messages.

- Obtain current creative content for messaging

- Independently source and curate relevant media content, ensuring it aligns with the team's messaging strategy.

3. Tracking:

- Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets and charts to track Game Management topics covered in team meeting sessions and practice situations.

- Ensure all relevant data is accurately recorded and easily accessible.

- Take ownership of the tracking system, continually seeking ways to improve its efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Coaching Operations Support:

- Assist daily with all aspects of coaching operations, providing support as needed.

- Plan and execute coaches' family events, serving as the point of contact for coaches' families on home game days.

- Provide executive support with administrative duties related to the Head Coach.

- Assist the Director of Operations and the operations team with logistical tasks as required.

- Demonstrate independent judgment in managing event logistics and resolving any issues that arise.

5. Practice and Game Day Duties:

- Support practice activities, including coordinating guest coaches and families.

- Assist with game day responsibilities, particularly those involving coaches' families and guests.

- Exercise independent judgment in handling practice and game day operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

- Experience in a similar role within a sports organization is highly desirable.

- Proficient in Teamworks Software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Knowledge of football operations is a plus.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team’s schedule.
