The San Jose Earthquakes have a mission to establish our home as the epicenter of American soccer by uniting Northern California with big dreams, big hustle, and big impact. We are seeking a Manager, Premium Sales who is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals, and will lead new business generation in the premium seating areas of new Suites, and Club Seating. The Manager, Premium Sales is responsible for engaging and converting existing customers, while also identifying new prospects interested in purchasing premium seating. This position will be focused on prospecting, appointment setting, executing in stadium and out of office sales presentations and securing premium seating commitments.

The Manager, Premium Sales should be results driven, possess an optimistic team-first attitude and a desire to be the best. The Manager, Premium Sales will also support sales through season, group, corporate hospitality and premium seating packages for the San Jose Earthquakes. We are seeking an experienced team member with a positive, results-oriented approach to sales and VIP experiences, who can communicate clearly across all platforms and work diligently to identify and convert new ticket members. The Manager, Premium Sales will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Premium Sales and Service.

Successful Candidates:

A successful candidate in this position will be responsible for driving revenue, leading new business generation, engaging existing customers, and identifying new prospects for premium seating, while working under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Premium Sales and Service. This candidate should be results-driven, possess an optimistic team-first attitude, and have experience in sales and VIP experiences, demonstrating clear communication skills across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

· Execute face-to-face meetings, both at PayPal Park and offsite, to share overview of project, new premium seating opportunities and secure seating commitments.

· Perform accurate and skilled deal closings.

· Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization.

· Conduct sales conversations via phone presentations, in-office meetings/presentations, and meetings at stadium.

· Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means including but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, one-on-one dinners/lunches, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at stadium, and outside meetings.

· Enter all pertinent prospect and customer information in CRM platform for efficient reporting and historical purposes.

· Meet or exceed all individual and team new business sales goals associated with the new premium seating products.

· Serve as the expert both internally amongst Quakes Ticketing and externally with all sales prospects on all elements of the various stadium enhancements and premium seating amenities.

· Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days.

· The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Bachelor’s Degree

· 4+ years of prior sales experience is preferred

· Prior experience selling five and six figure deals in the professional or collegiate sports and entertainment industry is preferred.

· Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided.

· Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.

· Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills a must.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient and calm under pressure.

· Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independently.

· Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

· Proficient in software programs including Salesforce CRM and Archtics.

· Resourceful, innovative and forward thinking.

· Ability to generate new business from companies and individuals not currently supporting the Quakes.

· Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.

· Strong time management and organizational skills with an attention to detail.

· Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best.


Salary: $60,000 + commissions
