Business Analytics Assistant (FT Intern)

Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, this position is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Business Analytics Department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze large data sets and communicate findings. They will manage fan surveys and report findings in a timely fashion. This position is also responsible for handling data and reporting related to fan contests.

Term: One-year full time hourly position

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Clean data and upload to central data warehouse

· Create, manage and analyze fan surveys to provide meaningful and actionable insights

· Deliver reports, insights and best practices on fan contests

· Contribute to organizational reporting

· Pull ad hoc data requests

· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

· Graduate degree is a plus

· Interested in and knowledgeable of business analytics and the applications within a professional sports team

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor and present key messages to the appropriate audience(s)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel

· Experience in data extraction & transformation, relational databases & SQL

· Familiarity and experience with a BI/visual analytics tool such as Tableau

· Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information

· Authorized to work in the United States
