JOB SUMMARY

The Philadelphia Phillies have an immediate need for freelance technical directors to join their Game Day Production crew for Phillies PhanaVision. The Technical Director/Director is responsible for the technical execution of the live in-game presentation at Citizens Bank Park. The candidate in this role must have excellent communication skills, as well as the expertise to build full shows and be proficient with troubleshooting issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Game Producer to execute the technical rundown of game script.
Set up and operation of the production switcher and associated technical equipment in the control room.
Build and organize switcher effects and specialty wipes.
Prepare, route, and test out all video, gfx, and audio sources prior to the game.
Follow event script and direct control room team to execute a high-quality show.
Direct (6) cameras, 4 hard cameras and 2 handheld, for baseball coverage and fan shots.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of experience as a control room Technical Director in a major college and/or professional live sports environment.
Knowledge of ROSS switchers, DVE's, and macros.
Proficient using Ross Video switchers, ROSS Acuity Preferred.
Professional control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude, and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
A desire to learn new technologies, processes and/or procedures as they are implemented.
Advanced knowledge of Major League Baseball and a strong interest in the Phillies.
