Game Day Concession Food Prep

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for Food Preps who will join us for Spring Training and continue into the Thresher's season. The Concession Food Prep is responsible for preparing food items in a proper container to sell food to fans in a friendly & courteous manner. All concession staff will follow all State and Local food handling, alcohol, and safety guidelines as well as the Ballpark Food & Beverage department policies. Candidates must be willing to work event-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as the ballpark’s schedule requires.

This position will be located on-site at the BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, FL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting up food out for sale in the “First-In, First-Out” order.
• Observe food quantity and work with the cook to monitor food needs.
• Communicate with the runners in the front for inventory restocking.
• Assist in cleaning the equipment and cooking area.
• Making sure the back of the concession stand is neat and organized.
• Break down all boxes.
• Must be able to Safe Staff certificate by management on site.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking throughout shift.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours.
• Ability to lift packages/boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for attendance.
