About the role

We’re looking for a performance analyst who will work closely with the Foundation Development Phase and Youth Development Phase coaches, to deliver elite level video and data analysis for our U9 – U12 age groups. You will also work alongside our Head of Pre-Academy (under 7 and under 8 age groups) to support those players entering the academy through video analysis.

You will work collaboratively with our coaches to produce and deliver video and data analysis for player individual learning plans and ensure the work produced aligns with the key technical and tactical development targets set by the coaches for each age group.

To support our coaches, you will produce and annotate clips from match days and training, encouraging our coaches to utilise video for individual and team feedback, as well as for player reviews throughout the season.

Working with our Head of Academy Performance Analysis, you will ensure that all U9 – U12 home and away games are filmed, to allow coaches and players to review performance.

You will work closely with the wider academy analysts to maintain a ‘best practice’ video database, that is maintained and updated weekly in accordance with needs and requirements of the coaching staff.

Your impact

You will hold an undergraduate degree in a sports discipline (minimum of 2:1) and be proficient in Hudl Sportscode (or a similar platform).

With previous experience of working within an elite professional football club, you will have excellent football knowledge to observe, analyse and interpret technical and tactical performance.

You will have knowledge, understanding and application of data sets and visualisation specific to professional football.

You will have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritise deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator, being able to visually and verbally present to a range of key stakeholder audiences.

About the team

You will work for our Head of Academy Performance Analysis, along with our academy performance analysts and coaches.
