While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, lead all aspects of the licensing of WNBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the WNBA's success.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, this position will lead a WNBA Business Development team within Marketing Partnerships & Media (MP&M) and be responsible for generating revenue for the WNBA through the development and sale of large-scale, integrated marketing partnerships.

Major Responsibilities:
• Drive revenue for the WNBA by prospecting, developing, and selling integrated marketing partnerships that incorporate WNBA IP, media, events, and other benefits/opportunities
• In conjunction with the VP, Business Development and other members of the WNBA Business Development team, develop and execute partnership sales strategies that lead to new marketing partnerships for the WNBA
• Develop and deliver customized presentations and proposals for prospects, and lead the negotiation of partnership agreements
• Lead cross-functional teams to support the development of customized WNBA marketing platforms that align with prospective partners’ objectives (e.g., Partnership Development, Media, Activation, Social Responsibility)
• Collaborate with WNBA senior leadership and the WNBA Growth/Commercial Solutions team to identify and develop new commercial opportunities for potential prospects (e.g., new platforms/assets)
• Establish and build relationships with senior-level marketing decision-makers and influencers within the sports marketing and agency world.
• Collaborate with the broader NBA business development team to develop and secure multi-property partnerships that include WNBA as needed, serving as WNBA subject matter expert
• Lead WNBA new business revenue projections and oversee pipeline reporting

Required Education/Professional Experience:

• Passion for women's sports and creating innovative, purpose-driven brand partnerships
• Energetic, team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Experience managing and developing a team
• Strong presentation skills and effective at verbal and written communication

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8 – 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in sponsorship sales or business development at league, team, or agency
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $195,000.00
