Job Summary
This position is part of the Trading Cards, Memorabilia, Hardgoods and Event Retail group within the Global Partnerships & Media / Consumer Product Partnerships department. The role will have significant oversite of the hardgoods and memorabilia businesses, as well as support of our trading cards business for the NBA, WNBA, and G-League. The day-to-day responsibilities will require excellent interpersonal, business writing and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once, and frequent analysis of industry, sales, and royalty data.


Major Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the hardgoods and memorabilia businesses, including:
    • Execution of day-to-day licensing operations
    • Partner relationship management
    • Product and marketing collateral approvals
    • Deal memo / contract development and tracking
    • Vendor compliance
    • Financial and revenue analysis and projections
    • New product development and execution
    • Fulfillment of partner marketing benefits
    • Development of industry dashboards and analytics standards for all business units
    • Global program collaboration with regional merchandise leads
  • Support trading cards business in areas of:
    • Product approvals
    • Marketing and event activations (Rookie Photo Shoot, All-Star, etc.)
    • New product ideation


Required Education/Professional Experience

  • 3-5 years working in licensing and sponsorship businesses; prior industry experience in hardgoods and memorabilia is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree


Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes

  • Hybrid position – must be able to work in the NBA’s NY office – some travel required for NBA events and partner meetings
  • Market experience in hardgoods and memorabilia licensing
  • Thorough understanding of sports retail landscape
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Tableau
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes and deliver a high-quality work product
  • Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information

Salary Range: [[$85,000.00 - $100,000.00]]
