Work Schedule: Approx. 40 hours/week (which may include nights, weekends, and holidays)

Position Summary

Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) is hiring a summer legal intern. The legal intern position will have the opportunity to work alongside our Carolina Panthers, Bank of America Stadium and Charlotte FC legal teams and gain practical knowledge and skills in various areas of the law. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual who is eager to learn and contribute to our team. The TSE summer legal intern will have the following responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performing legal research and drafting research memos.
  • Review and report on National Football League and Major League Soccer policies and procedures.
  • Review and analyze legal documents and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects within given timelines and with attention to detail
  • Keep updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact TSE and provide recommendations to ensure the companyโ€™s compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of training materials and presentations for employees on legal matters.
  • Support the legal team in managing legal projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed at least one year at an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding research abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting and working at desk on a computer
  • Walking throughout the stadium which may include stairs

Work Environment

This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions.
