THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

  • Supervise and manage the Operations team within the Player Registration & Transfer Data Department, setting goals and prioritizing the work of the team.
  • Continue increasing the efficiency and quality of the Clearing House procedures (sending cases to the FIFA Clearing House entity and following these cases through the various stages) and have oversight of the process.
  • Supervise the interactions between FIFA and the FIFA Clearing House entity, including budget.
  • Handle cases of non-compliance with the FIFA Clearing House Regulations: investigation and assessment of cases, escalation to relevant judicial body if necessary.
  • Understand and develop KPIs to identify patterns and resolve bottlenecks; find solutions to deal with the Operations workload in an efficient manner.
  • Act as a single point of contact in the interactions of the Operations team with any other relevant internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to the TMS and Case management teams, Regulatory Governance & Compliance Department, FIFA Disciplinary Committee, Litigation team and others.
  • Communicate with clubs regarding the FIFA Clearing House framework and process, answer questions, and reach out where necessary.
  • Assist with the drafting of presentations, press releases and other material for project communication purposes, participating in meetings and webinars as requested.
  • Provide support to the Head of Department, supporting the definition and execution of the strategy of the Department.
  • Mentor other team members, advising on operational matters, as well as efficient ways to allocate time and resources.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • University degree in business management, economics, law or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in project management, business, communications or related field.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in stakeholder communication, case management, project management, ideally in sports or in an international environment.
  • Proven track-record in managing teams and workloads.
  • Accounting and financial planning knowledge is an asset.
  • Familiarity with data science and analytics tools is an asset.
  • Understanding of football law, the international transfer system, training rewards, regulatory framework and the TMS platform are an asset.
  • Accuracy and detail orientation, combined with a pragmatic approach when solving problems.
  • Autonomy and excellence, positively impacting the efficiency and quality, resulting in an optimal service to the stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Critical judgement: ability to separate essential issues from side-issues.
  • Self-confidence and diplomacy.

  • Good knowledge and command of IT systems and tools like TMS, JIRA and ticketing tools like Freshdesk
  • Affinity to IT tools related to data analysis and visualization, ideally Power BI
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in any other FIFA language (French and/or Spanish) required
