Overview

As part of Security, Parking Security will establish a visible safety presence, and provide general event information, directions, and assistance to all guests in the parking lots and exterior plaza of American Family Field.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor the activities in all parking lots, walkways, and other areas outside of the stadium
  • Act as the primary point-of-contact with MPD, MFD, EMS and Reef Parking
  • Respond to security and medical issues and involve MPD or EMS as required
  • Enforce all Milwaukee Brewers policies relating to safety, guest well-being, and security
  • Assist Reef Parking in the safe operations for Ride Share, Taxi and Shuttle services
  • Monitor and advise MPD of any ticket resale policy violations
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or criminal behavior to MPD
  • Provide a presence in the parking lots to deter vehicle damage and thefts

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates:

  • Must have ability to ride a bicycle
  • Experience and/or background in public safety and experience with large events and crowd management is preferred
  • Must have strong communication skills

Work Hours

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Must have availability to work most games and special events. Maximum of 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Patrol all parking lots, walkways, and all other areas outside of the stadium
  • Act as a liaison between Law Enforcement, medical personnel, and imperial parking
  • Assist as first responder for all parking lot issues and/or disturbances
  • Enforce all MLB policies relating to safety, guest well-being, and security
  • Provide support for UBER, Taxi and Shuttle services
  • Monitor and enforce the ticket resale polices

Qualifications

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must have ability to ride a bicycle
  • Preferred candidates would have experience and/or background in public safety or military and experience with crowd control while dealing with large amounts of guests is preferred

Education and/or Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Must be able to learn and adapt to new computer systems promptly.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to fans, contractors, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
