Overview
As part of Security, the Gate Screener will be responsible for the fan screening process before and during baseball games and other events at American Family Field in support of the mission to provide exceptional guest experiences in a safe, clean and friendly environment. This position will support providing a higher level of security to guests, property and personnel and limit risks of liability. A strong emphasis is placed on providing top level customer service to our fans.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with crowd control at a major sports venue preferred. Background or training in criminal justice a plus.

Work Hours
Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Gate Screeners are typically expected to arrive two (2) hours prior to game time and average shifts can be up to five (5) hours; employees may be requested to work additional hours including concerts on occasion. Maximum of 30 hours per week.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with crowd control at a major sports venue preferred. Background or training in criminal justice a plus.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
