The Purpose:
To ensure the safety and working order of all electrical systems on site, including the maintenance of, at all times.

The Role:

  • To assist with all internal electrical work as and when required
  • To carry out general maintenance on any electrical items on site
  • To be responsible for carrying out small internal electrical projects as and when required.
  • To assist other trades as and when required
  • To observe current health & safety guidance in maintaining own and others health, safety and security. Ensuring all staff complete risk assessments for all work related activities, thereby contributing to the promotion of a Health and Safety culture within the GPS Department.
  • Raise purchase orders for materials, goods and services to ensure the timely, cost effective, completion of work orders. Authorising payments to suppliers & contractors when works are satisfactorily completed and closing purchase orders when good are received.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with Lifecycle planning including the delivery of Capex works and Minor works
  • Participates in the management and commissioning process for new developments.
  • To assist in other duties across the Club including The Cliff, Littleton road and the Stadium, when required.

The Person:

  • Extensive experience in a similar full-time role
  • British Standard qualification for the installation of electrical wiring
  • Experience of working in a Sports, NHS or Chemical background would be advantageous
