The Purpose:  


The Assistant Producer is a vital member of the football and live production team. In this role, you will further develop your knowledge by learning multiple technical roles within the studio and gallery environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a wide range of production activities.

The Role:

  • Regularly contribute to the department's output across all media platforms with a range of content edits.
  • Participate in weekly editing tasks, including player interviews, openers, daily shows, and podcasts.
  • Learn and perform multiple roles within our live TV gallery, including graphics (GFX), video tape (VT) operation, and vision mixing.
  • Engage in creative discussions to generate new content ideas.
  • Plan and execute player access initiatives across all teams.
  • Build and develop knowledge and experience of outside broadcasts.
  • Support the camera department and enhance your filming skills.
  • Integrate smoothly into the current production team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the entire media business.
  • Foster professional relationships between media and playing staff.


The Person:

  • Some experience in media production, either through university coursework or previous work experience, is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: A strong technical background is preferred. Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere is essential. Knowledge of camera operation and filming techniques is also highly beneficial.
  • Passion for Media: A genuine interest in media production and a desire to develop your skills in this field.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
