The Reward function sits within the Payroll & Reward team. The purpose of the Reward function is to ensure reward and benefit processes and outcomes for employees are accurate and efficient; reviewing and setting strategic principles across the group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team, ensuring a 1st class Reward function for Manchester City FC and City Football Group employees. Bringing an analytical approach, you’ll ensure the team has relevant and upto date data insights to support with decision making.

Your Impact

  1. Act as the main support for the Reward function as a whole, supporting on all pay, bonus and reward topics, as well as undertaking project work as and when required. This will also occasionally involve liaising with overseas HR teams.

  1. Responsible for calculating the annual bonuses and pay rises across the group (globally):
  • Understand details of bonus schemes
  • Own the spreadsheet calculations and ensure that the data is accurate
  • Ensure the format is ready for payroll
  • Help design the communications and line manager information
  • Keep track of key metrics such as CPI changes and wage inflation across the jurisdictions relevant to CFG, and reporting back any key observations and trends to the Senior Reward Manager.

  1. Responsible for calculating the data for the annual Gender Pay Gap compliance reporting, as well as any similar future reporting requirements e.g. ethnicity pay gap reporting:
  • Be able to analyse the data and draw conclusions and trends.
  • Work with the Senior Reward Manager and Payroll Manager to understand the data and changes from previous year.
  • Work with the Senior Reward Manager and Comms team to draft the publication, draft summaries for the Leadership Team.

  1. Responsible for auditing benefits data across the HRIS and Payroll, taking an active role in managing the monthly operation of the C2W scheme, salary sacrifice arrangements, and some benefits enrolment.

  1. Keep up to date with HMRC legislation, wage related legislation, pension auto enrolment, other regulatory requirements including in our global locations. Keep up to date with CFG best practice, policies and procedures, and ensure they are met.

  1. Be able to answer queries from employees on all aspects of pay, including bonus questions, benefits, explaining deductions, etc.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Advanced Excel/spreadsheet data modelling and manipulation skills.
  • Excellent Data analysis experience
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow process and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet set deadlines.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Can adapt well to changes and updates within the business.
  • Ability to demonstrate use of initiative and add value to the Reward function.
  • Strong team player, with the ability to support the Reward function.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a Reward role
  • Experience in a HR function
  • Awareness and experience of cyclical reward processes including bonus and pay review.
  • Awareness of pensions and other salary sacrifice arrangements.
  • Exposure to and an understanding of international payrolls and reward.
  • Customer service experience.
