MAJOR PURPOSE
Support the MLB Information Security team in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Major League Baseball Cybersecurity Program.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Information Security team with digital investigations, incident response efforts and special projects
- Assist in performing security audits, risk analysis, network forensics and penetration testing
- Develops, creates, maintains, and writes/codes new (or modifies existing) scripts, API integrations, or specialized utility programs
- Support efforts to improve security posture throughout the MLB environment
- Perform administrative duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information
- Completed or working towards a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Go, systems engineering using DevOps tooling, or talking to APIs is a plus
- Interest in vulnerability assessment, intrusion/threat detection, digital investigations, mobile device management, log analysis, identity & access management, monitoring, and/or endpoint security
- Relevant certifications such as COMPTIA Security+, Offensive Security OSCP, SANS are a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
- Self-motivated, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
