As the Director of Brand Strategy, you will work with the VP, Brand Strategy to forecast and shape the football tentpole moments applying three strategic disciplines – brand, data, and engagement strategy. With the key goals of growing the fanbase, increase engagement and best in class creative.

You will identify trends and opportunities for growth shaping the market for the Los Angeles Rams existing and new brand platforms. Helping develop the strategy that leads to effective and innovative ideas/platforms with our studio team, gameday, community, partnerships, merch and external agencies to deliver that context and ensure implementation across the business holistically. Additionally, you will cultivate the professional growth of the next generation of talent within the Strategy function.

You will lead and manage 5-7 people across multiple disciplines and at various levels and will be charged with the quality of their work, their growth and professional fulfillment. Creating a culture that makes them as good as they can possibly be is something you’ll strive to for every day, and the ethic of pushing for excellence will course through every action you take and interaction you have. In addition, you will be expected to directly lead high priority projects at a cross-functional level and contribute to others as needed.

Finally, as a strategic leader of the LA Rams, the work you personally impact must be seen as best in class across the business.

  • For briefs, you will be expected to lead a small, distributed team to help guide the marketing perspective on the right investment levels to drive marketing performance indicators in line with finance goals.
  • Partner with all business leaders in various regions to build detailed plans.
  • Work closely with creative leadership to help support, sell, to make those ideas a reality especially when working with partnerships.
  • Build robust plans by understanding the role that each marketing channel plays and their independent efficiency curves.
  • Align marketing plans and objectives with expectations from finance, go-to-market, and regional teams are key to the success of this position.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the insights and briefs are leading to helping grow our fan base, increase engagement and inspiring ideas only the Rams may do.
  • Be the right-hand of the studio counterparts – able to work closely with them to take strategic and creative output to the next level.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key vendors, technology partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Present to the highest level of an organization and effectively persuade others, making the complex simple and the simple compelling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive and comprehensive strategies that deliver enterprise value.
  • Influence and engage with executive leadership, presenting strategic insights and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Have a proven track record of doing work that inspires great work.
  • Be a proven positive force for change.
  • Impressive storytelling and public speaking skills.
  • Significant experience leading and winning new business presentations and workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, preferably across disciplines.
  • 10+ years of experience in agency or related field.

Salary: $115,000 - $140,000/year
