The Rams are looking for a Video Editor responsible for editing and producing video content for the Rams digital and social platforms as well as for external broadcast partners. This role will work in collaboration with other members of the Rams Studio team and be responsible for editing both long form features and short form videos (i.e., player features, Micโ€™d up, original documentary series, community recaps, highlight videos, game recaps, branded content, etc). This individual is a strong editor who has a passion for crafting compelling stories. The role will be expected to illuminate and elevate the Rams brand through short-form and long-form video content. In addition to creating feature video content, this person will be capturing and editing content from home and away games, community appearances, player shoots, press conferences, events, and a variety of other projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with other members of the Rams Studios team to develop and produce a slate of video content for the Rams
  • Edit video content from home games, community appearances, player shoots, press conferences, community events, and a variety of other projects
  • Assist with filming/production as needed
  • Actively involved in large, multi-episode projects โ€“ work in collaboration with the Senior Manager to edit and capture content as needed
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager to review and iterate on work, take guidance and feedback on creative direction and execution and apply it to final output
  • Support the planning and execution of long form feature stories and episodic content as needed
  • Expected to be available on game days in an editing capacity
  • Willingness to be a team player to fulfill different project roles as needed in order to operate efficiently as a team
  • Provide input into creative pitches working closely with cross-functional partners to provide creative ideas to support various campaign briefs
  • Job duties may require travel
  • Listen to organizational needs, pitch new concepts to internal groups and external partners to meet those needs, develops relevant story ideas, writes treatments and storyboards
  • Assist with camera and editing equipment including inventory, packing, and upkeep
  • Participate in shooting and editing community, cheerleader, player features, live press conferences as needed
  • Contribute to logging Rams footage using specific formatting and strong attention to detail in Adobe Premiere
  • Ability to translate our brand into video content and ensure content is in alignment with the Rams brand identity
  • Stay up to date on latest trends in video content across various industries

Capabilities:

  • Previous experience in video editing and some shooting required (5+ years)
  • Intermediate knowledge in using professional cinema cameras including Arri Amira/Alexa, Sony, Canon Cinema series, and RED Cinema cameras
  • Mastery with sound mixing and editing
  • Experience in Post-Production workflow and skillset using non-linear editing software
  • Experience in multi-cam editing
  • Willingness to travel during the season to away games and in the off season for feature shoots as needed
  • Flexible schedule required to successfully complete job requirements, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 35-50lbs for prolonged amount of time
  • Video editing experience on Mac with Adobe Premiere, with knowledge on how to input music, dialogue, graphics and effeKnowledge and experience in Davinci Resolve Color grading suite is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop preferred
  • Basic knowledge on set etiquette and lighting set ups to be able to assist in various shooting environment
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and Live broadcasting
  • Discretion and trustworthiness related to sensitive football-related material
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Creative mind, storytelling skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be proactive and think creatively. Bring a willingness to go above and beyond to finish the job under deadline pressure
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
  • Collaborate and communicate as part of a team
  • Ability to work and complete solo shoots/projects as needed
  • Knowing the players and team are a huge plus
  • Previous experience working in professional sports leagues is a plus
  • Knowledge and a passion for the NFL is ideal

Salary Range: $70k/yr. - $80k/yr.
