Job Title: Trainee – Ticketing Operations

Job Summary: The Ticket Operations Trainee will assist the Ticket Office staff with their daily operations. Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Ticket Operations, the trainee is responsible for providing superior customer service to fans at the box office, providing support for the Sales and Services departments, and assisting with various initiatives. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

· Process season, group, single game, and internal ticket orders

· When necessary, assist customers looking to purchase tickets at ticket-office window

· Assist with review of Royals online ticket offers

· Assist in game day operations including fan support, and walk-up ticket sales

· Maintain patron records in the Royals ticketing software and related systems

· Create digital ticketing guides/manuals for website and employee staff

· Provide support to gameday ticket seller staff

· Provide operations support to the Ticket Sales and Ticket Services departments

· Implement new ideas to improve the day-to-day efficiency of the Ticket Operations department

· Conduct research on trends within the industry as it relates to ticketing

· Working along with Manager – Ticket Solutions and Service, assist with hiring and training of gameday mobile ticketing staff and creating a monthly work schedule

· Monitor and respond to inquiries delivered to the Royals Ticket Office email inbox

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

· Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student of an accredited college or university or have graduated from an accredited college or university

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Strong written and oral communication, prioritization, and organizational skills

· Provide outstanding customer service while working in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment

· Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds

· Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday

· Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone

· Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times

· Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.

· Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
