Job Title: Family Relations Coordinator (Seasonal)

Job Summary: The Kansas City Royals Family Relations Coordinator will manage a wide range of initiatives that support Royals’ players’ wives and significant others and will serve as their primary point of contact. The coordinator will operate with a focus on supplying key resources to players’ wives, significant others and their families to enhance their experience within the organization. The role will report into Baseball Operations with a dotted line to Community Impact.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

· Serve as primary point of contact for Royals’ players’ wives and significant others, ensuring regular and streamlined communication with this group.

· Support Royals’ players’ wives and significant others on gamedays and plan and execute any gameday experiential offerings for players’ families and their guests.

· Assist Royals’ players’ wives and significant others with needs and other family benefits during the season including managing the upkeep and operations of the childcare resources in the family/childcare room at the K (including the organization of invoices, purchasing goods, setting up, stocking, and maintaining the Royals’ family/childcare room, etc.).

· Organize events and group outings with a special focus on events supporting the community in areas that are important for the Royals players’ wives, significant others and the Club.

· Mobilize Royals Players’ wives and significant others to participate in or support Royals Foundation fundraisers and other community impact events and initiatives.

· Maintain strong communication and relationships across the Club, especially baseball operations and clubhouse leadership.

· Other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

· The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree.

· Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience, ideally within professional athletics.

· Demonstrate professionalism and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.

· Creative and motivated to explore new opportunities and solutions in executing events and offering exceptional customer service.

· Excellent communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills

· Must be well organized and detail oriented.

· Ability to establish priorities and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines and schedules.

· Experience with Microsoft Office suite

· Proficient verbal and written Spanish language skills welcomed.

· The ideal candidate must be willing to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Some travel may be required.



Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds

· Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday

· Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone

· Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times

· Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus

· Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.

· Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
