The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Director of Partnership Marketing is responsible for all aspects of the Partnership Marketing department and oversees the execution and implementation of all Sponsorship contracts. The Partnership Marketing team is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining a positive working relationship with new and existing corporate sponsors while executing on the agreed upon marketing activations and events. The Partnership Marketing team’s mission is to consistently deliver quality and superior service in every area of the partnership, creating a lasting connection between sponsors, Dynamo FC, Dash, Shell Energy Stadium, and Houston Sports Park. The DPM will lead the Partnership Marketing team with delivering this service to partners by leading all department ancillary responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Partnership Marketing Team to plan and execute programs and initiatives that contribute to sponsorship growth and retention. Manage partner broadcast elements for all Dynamo FC games (inclusive of TV and radio). Coordinate with marketing to schedule partner ads in the weekly Dynamo Insider & Member e-mails. Utilize research platforms to assist with selling and renewing partners. Assist the Partnership Marketing Account Managers in planning and executing all sponsor-driven programs including but not limited to: Partner Summit, Golf Tournament, VIP Luncheon, Away Game Trip, Holiday Party, grassroots events, various soccer tournaments and/or clinics, as well as various Dynamo FC & Dash player appearances and other special events. Annually create the pre-season “partner playbook” and mid-season and year-end “recap reports” for clients; these reports will compile details of the contract deliverables provided as well as additional exposure received; offering a valuable ROI review for partners. Support Corporate Development team with proposal decks. Master use of sponsorship CRM system (Salesforce) for reporting and tracking purposes. Communicate effectively and regularly with all necessary internal departments to ensure all sponsorship driven elements or programs are communicated and executed successfully. Responsible for managing Partnership Marketing Department budget. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time sports marketing experience managing a team in Partnership Marketing and/or Client Services
  • Knowledge of B2B or Sponsorship Services
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Must be available for home games, as well as sponsor and team-related events and appearances
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Photoshop or Graphic Design experience - Preferred
