Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC began competing in MLS in April 2021 and played its first match at home on June 19, 2021, in the new, 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium. Now in its fourth season, Austin FC currently holds the longest active sellout streak in MLS.

Austin FC is currently looking for a talented bilingual Copywriter to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, possesses exceptional writing skills, and has a deep passion for both the sport of soccer and the city of Austin. Reporting into the Director of Social Media, the person who takes this role will work collaboratively with a multitude of internal stakeholders including the Club’s brand, merchandise, fan development, photo, video, design, corporate partnerships, ticketing, 4ATX Foundation, stadium operations and soccer operations departments. The candidate will have the ability to craft and edit compelling bilingual copy for Austin FC’s social channels, as well as additional Club content across e-mail, web, app, and additional brand campaigns as needed. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with ensuring the Club’s tone of voice adheres to its brand and style guidelines.

This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person at Austin FC’s office.

You Will:

· Ideate, craft, and edit compelling, quick-witted and short-form bilingual copy for Austin FC’s social media channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and WhatsApp, among others; and

· Ideate, craft, and edit compelling bilingual copy for all additional outward facing Club platforms, including email, web, social, app, out of home advertising, radio, and event collateral, among others; and

· Translate outstanding thoughts and ideas into words while protecting the brand voice and point of view through all marketing channels; and

· Help in institutionalizing the Austin FC brand voice and assist in the constant evolution and development of the Club’s brand voice and strategy; and

· Collaborate with Austin FC’s brand, communications, social, and design teams to ensure consistency in brand language across all communications platforms; and

· Create messaging frameworks and guidelines to be communicated across all departments; and

· Brainstorm subject lines and proof-read content daily; and

· Actively identify new opportunities and future trends.

You Have:

· 1 – 3 years of copy writing experience within a creative environment

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Proficiency in writing in both English and Spanish

· Excellent organization skills and communication skills

· Ability to concept new copy in a variety of mediums

· Ability to understand marketing insights and strategies to translate into compelling copy across multiple channels

· Ability to think critically and combine creative thinking with high-quality copy delivery

· General knowledge of soccer
