About the Position

We are looking for upbeat and dedicated team members to help us establish a world-class guest experience for all Golden State Warriors and Valkyries games, and Chase Center concerts and events. We are hiring for two roles in the Guest Experiences Department: Ambassador and Concierge (full job descriptions for each role are below). After completing the interview, candidates will be identified for one of the two roles. Onboarding and training will start in August.

These are part-time positions located onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Ambassador

  • Greet guests as they approach Chase Center to provide direction and support before entering the venue
  • Monitor entrances and welcome guests into the arena while assisting with line control and wayfinding
  • Assist guests as needed (e.g., wheelchair, walkers, escorts, etc.), including vertical transportation requests and directional guidance
  • Maintain a steady movement of guests through entry points while serving a diverse clientele
  • Support set-up and breakdown during Warriors and Valkyries game nights and events, including promotional theme nights, giveaways, etc.
  • Support guests at guest service kiosk to help troubleshoot situations and help resolve concerns
  • Provide information to guests that will enhance their overall experience
  • Serve as a source of information and FAQs for Chase Center guests; provide proactive solutions
  • Work Thrive City & off-site Golden State Warriors and Valkyries events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Concierge

  • Assist with access control by checking tickets/credentials/wristbands for those attempting to access restricted areas
  • Provide consistent, high-level service to returning guests to build positive relationships
  • Display exceptional ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity at all times including in high-stress and high-profile environments
  • Resolve suite and premium ticket holder needs (i.e., wheelchair/escort requests, answer questions, and provide information) to create a fun and seamless guest experience
  • Respond to and resolve guest feedback in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner
  • Work as a team to maintain the integrity of the premium locations, and notify management of challenges and concerns
  • Partner closely with the Ticket Sales groups for specific client needs
  • Serve as a source of information and FAQs for Chase Center guests; provide proactive solutions
  • Work Thrive City & off-site Golden State Warriors and Valkyries events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Excellent and engaging interpersonal skills
  • High energy, strong detail orientation, and superior work ethic
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment, including during emergencies
  • Ability to adhere to proper uniform and grooming standards as defined by Chase Center management
  • Reliable form of transportation

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Note: This position may require you to sit or stand in an enclosed space (i.e., an elevator) and travel in upper and lower levels multiple times during your shift

Time Commitment

  • Work at least 50% of events through the year including Golden State Warriors and Valkyries home games, Chase Center Concerts, and auxiliary events.
  • Non-traditional hours according to the Golden State Warriors and Valkyries home game schedule and Chase Center concerts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Typical game night shifts are 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  • Typical concert shifts are approximately 5+ hours in length
  • Work schedules will vary from week to week along with scheduled events. Part-time Team Members will not be scheduled for every event as scheduling is based on the needs of the department.

Compensation

  • $22.00 per hour
