The opportunity:
We seek a dynamic and experienced Director/Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will partner with our executive team to drive strategic financial initiatives, support critical business functions, and play a crucial role in shaping the future of FC Cincinnati. This position is perfect for a collaborative leader with a passion for mentorship and a commitment to fostering team development. Experience in sports management and a CPA designation are strong pluses.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, providing critical financial insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Drive the development of long-term financial plans, forecasts, and budgets aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead scenario planning and financial modeling to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Operational Excellence:
- Partner across departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies with operational objectives.
- Develop and optimize financial processes to support data-driven decision-making and organizational growth.
- Enhance financial reporting to provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the team, ensuring a solid talent pipeline.
- Address team needs and create a supportive environment that enables individual and collective success.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Establish and maintain strong organizational relationships to drive alignment and collaboration.
- Present financial updates and recommendations to the executive team, and other stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Act as a liaison with external partners, including auditors and consultants, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, as well as an MBA or advanced degree, is highly desirable.
- 8-10+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles, with significant FP&A experience required.
- Proven experience in FP&A or a similar leadership role, with a strong track record of driving financial strategy and results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced skills in financial modeling and strategic planning.
- Commitment to team development and mentorship, focusing on building a culture of accountability and growth.
- CPA designation, Public Accounting, and experience in sports management is a significant advantage.
- Experience with Netsuite, Tableau, and Vena is preferred.
