Reports to: Director of Team Administration

Job Summary

The TQL Stadium Soccer Operations Gameday Staff will assist with ensuring the game flows with minimal interruption when the game ball is kicked out of bounds and assist the Manager, Soccer Operations and the Away Team Administrator with day of match duties. In this role you will patrol a section of the field and be responsible for putting a soccer ball on the appropriate ball stand during the flow of the game. You will work as a team to keep an inventory of game balls at half time and full time. You will also work independently and/or shadow Away Team Administrator during pre-game, half-time and post-game to ensure the visiting players and technical staff have everything they need to have a successful game day experience. Hours will vary depending on duties assigned that day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assistant soccer ops staff with game day logistics
  • Assist with home team needs
  • Ball Manager will be on the pitch for the match
  • Attention to detail during each home match
  • Quick on feet in getting soccer balls replaced onto the ball stands
  • Dependable and willing to adjust to changing responsibilities on game day
  • Collect all soccer balls after both team’s warm-ups before the match
  • Confirm the visiting players locker room is set up to MLS standards
  • Greet and welcome the visiting Team Administrator, players, and technical staff as they enter TQL Stadium
  • Escort the visiting players and technical staff to their locker room
  • Ensure the visiting players and technical staffs post game food is delivered to the locker room
  • Report all incidents to Director of Soccer Operations; including but not limited to injuries or health related issues, lost or damaged property, and alcohol related incidents
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Always exhibit a professional appearance.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work majority of FC Cincinnati home games at TQL Stadium. This will include week nights, week days and holidays as needed.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Ability to speak French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time as well as walking, bending, and continuous climbing of stairs.
  • Ability to work outdoor events in hot, cold, wet, or windy conditions throughout duration of shift.


What You’ll Need:

  • Sports related industry, soccer environments as a player, coach or administrator is preferred
  • 6+ months experience working as a concierge, event planner, waiter/waitress, housekeeper, or a role focused on providing excellent customer service.

TQL Stadium, home of FC Cincinnati, is one of the most ambitious soccer-specific stadiums in not only North America, but the world. Critically acclaimed firm Populous designed an innovative and forward-thinking stadium that is one of the largest soccer-specific facilities in Major League Soccer. FC Cincinnati’s supporters’ section, The Bailey, has grown to be more than 3,100 strong and loom over opponents at a 34-degree angle at the stadium’s north end. A 360-degree canopy roof covers every seat in TQL Stadium, but still allows sufficient sun in to grow a natural grass field.
