Manager, Overlay IBC/Tournament HQ, FIFA World Cup 2026

Reporting organizationally to the FIFA26 Inc. Head of Stadium Infrastructure & Overlay, the Overlay Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Overlay team, and work in close collaboration with the Venue Design team and Infrastructure team.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Overlay Manager for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ include:

• Lead overlay planning and delivery of the International Broadcast Centre & other Tournament HQ sites according to strategy and established standards.
• Collaborate with design teams, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers to identify the most suitable overlay solutions to fulfill FIFA's requirements.
• Provide on-site supervision and coordination of all procured commodities and overlay construction, including health and safety, quality control, and schedule management.
• Serve as primary point of contact FIFA’s appointed Overlay Managing Contractor & FIFA Functional Area leads.
• Provide input to overlay design team, ensuring consistency in existing site conditions and accuracy of proposed solutions.
• Liaise with FIFA and venue stakeholders, providing input on planning integration and overlay delivery.
• Create an overview schedule for all commodities installation and overlay construction for assigned venue.
• Ensure FIFA design processes and standards are maintained and followed in the development of all project deliverables.
• Facilitate collaboration between all project resources to ensure project deliverables are on time and on budget
• Manage the onsite change management process and reporting back to the central team.

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Architecture or other domains
• Great understanding of the technical complexity of a stadium with additional World Cup needs.
• A minimum of 3 years of Football World Cup Life cycles working or liaising with one or more Functional areas as listed above or similar elite sporting event

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years or more in infrastructural projects or Overlay/Technical Service roles in Major Events for a Sporting Organisation
• Minimum 3 years or more FIFA World Cup or other similar major Football tournaments experiences
• Minimum 2 years of managing and leading teams and staff with different backgrounds and skill sets

Languages

• Fluent in English
• Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus

Technology

• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
• Planning software and online collaboration tools: MS Project, Planner, Trello, or other Project

Management Tools

• Miro Board, Whiteboard, Figma
• Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.)
