Foundation Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: This position is temporary and will operate for the 24-25 hockey season, providing the right candidate an opportunity for hands-on experience assisting with the Dallas Stars Foundation outreach efforts in the community, our fundraising and donations efforts, our event planning, and our programming.


  • Attend and execute various Foundation duties at all Stars home games
  • Attend and work various duties at Foundation events (including Casino Night and Hall of Fame Gala)
  • Assist with league wide initiatives (Hockey Fights Cancer, Military Appreciation, Pride, etc.)
  • Administrative responsibilities as needed
  • Craft proposal and recap presentations for potential and current partnerships
  • Assist in organizing various projects and programs


  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Appropriate time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Strong written, verbal & presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel


  • Gain valuable experience in project and event management
  • Acquire skills in non-profit outreach and fundraising
  • Operation of various donation and CRM software
  • Networking with donors, volunteers, and community partners
  • Promotion of the Dallas Stars Foundation as well as your own personal brand

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to both office and arena environments, with noise levels ranging from moderate to quite loud.
