Job Summary

The Landscaper position is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our 100-acre ballpark. Our landscaping team helps create an aesthetically pleasing environment that our guests expect when they arrive at Citizens Bank Park. This position is physical in nature and requires the willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Performs routine landscaping work including, but not limited to, weeding, raking, and mulching garden beds, paths, and planters.
Performs maintenance of exterior plants, beds, and interior plants.
Seasonal planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
Condition and prepare soil for planting.
Water exterior and interior plants.
Safely and efficiently operate small and medium power equipment such as weed eater’s, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, etc.
Operate large machinery and/or vehicles such as dingo’s, skid steers, and gators following safe work practices.
Achieve all necessary certifications and/or training required to operate power equipment, machinery, or vehicles.
Clean and maintain service tools and equipment.
Work and speak with vendors under the direction of the Landscaping Manager.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in landscaping or a similar field.
Basic knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees.
Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of tools, vehicles, and small and large engine equipment safely and effectively.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
Willingness to operate large machinery.
Highly motivated individual who is detail oriented.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Basic familiarity with irrigation systems and repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

Experience operating a Boom lift and/or Forklift is preferred.
Experience working with landscape contractors and nurseries is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is preferred for the use of a company vehicle.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical activity on a daily basis (i.e., moving and shoveling mulch, lifting plants, etc.).
Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds of weight moderately throughout the assigned workday.
Must be physically capable of safely operating medium to heavy machinery.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
