Summary Description

The Community Relations department is looking to welcome a highly motivated and organized individual to join us as the Community Relations intern. The individual will assist the department with day to day and annual programming assignments related to upholding the compassionate vision of the Cleveland Browns staff, coaches and players in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the department’s mission and objectives.
  • Assist with implementing and executing community programs including events, activations, initiatives and appearances.
  • Learn and maintain the general donation database and fulfillment process. Training will be provided for system.
  • Help coordinate inventory management, packing, shipping, and product donation distribution.
  • Proactively capture metrics for programs/initiatives to help generate recaps/reports.
  • Support production of written content for the department in the form of recaps, creative writing, professional correspondence and email communication.
  • Assist in implementing various Browns Give Back and NFL initiatives.
  • Develop and assist with frequent communication to community members and community partners associated with programs and initiatives.
  • Capture event photos for social media
  • Help generate and proofread communication materials for internal and external distribution.
  • Assist with developing content for social media and routine communication both internally and externally.
  • Provide positive customer service with knowledge of core values of the Browns organization.
  • Increase awareness of Community Relations efforts through support of Browns resources and internal procedures.
  • Support appearance request process.
  • Facilitate daily administrative duties; mail, phones, filing, etc.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Flexible schedule, available, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Represent the Cleveland Browns in a professional, positive and appropriate manner.
  • Strong writing, with storytelling ability, and computer skills.
  • Past experience planning and implementing community events is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, proven ability to problem solve and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office; specific to Excel, Mail Merge, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to carry and lift heavy items.
  • Strong social media knowledge, with sense of creativity.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of time management, multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
