Description Summary

This full-time position will recruit, hire, train and develop the Inside Sales staff with the focus to generate, maintain and increase full season, partial season, suite, hospitality and group ticket sales. This management role will act as a mentor by developing professional and personal skills of entry-level sales staff in addition to personally developing as a leader within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • This is a leadership, mentoring, and sales role
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop Inside Sales team
  • Directly responsible for all revenue goals associated with Inside Sales department
  • Directly responsible for personal sales goals set by Director of Ticket Sales
  • Develop and mentor Inside Sales team on professional and personal skills
  • Responsible for new business growth in season, premium and group sales
  • Implementation of sales training for new hires and current Inside Sales team members
  • Develop sales strategies, procedures and processes for all Inside Sales team members
  • Identify, explore and research new ticket sales opportunities
  • Set guidelines of expected daily output and accountability relating to Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Create sales contests to keep morale up and help generate revenue
  • Assist all ticket sales directors in creating ticket and revenue goals associated with the Inside Sales team.
  • Track and report all daily and weekly sales to the Director of Season & Group Ticket Sales
  • Ability to sell and up-sell - including but not limited to: season ticket plans, partial plans, additional tickets to Season Ticket Holders, parking, etc.
  • Schedule and track hours of all Inside Sales team members
  • Execute assigned tasks and projects with the goal of developing departmental and industry knowledge
  • Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least three to five (3-5) years of successful marketing and ticket sales experience in the sports or entertainment industry preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills
  • Experience with training, hiring and development preferred
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, yet comfortable completing tasks independently
  • Self-starter with the ability to be creative within a structured environment
  • Employee development and performance management skills
  • Ability to supervise and train employees with a detailed and thorough sales process, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Ability to make evaluative judgments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement a range of sales promotion programs and/or event
  • Ability to evaluate, predict, and coach sales results through active pipeline management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasional lifting of 20 pounds required.
