Job Title: Reds Community Fund Marketing & Social Media Intern
Department: Reds Community Fund (RCF)
Reports To: Development and Marketing Manager
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Term: March – September 2025

Job Purpose:
Support the Reds Community Fund (RCF) with a variety of duties and responsibilities, such as marketing the RCF’s outreach and fundraising events.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the RCF social media team to develop and post content that maximizes engagement and amplifies the community fund objectives.
  • Write entertaining, accurate social media copy and interact with our audience in an authentic voice.
  • Stay up to date with current trends happening on various platforms.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for new projects and campaigns.
  • Help staff RCF events at the ballpark and off-site locations, including the Reds Youth Academy.
  • Assist in coordinating MLB’s Play Ball Weekend events (June 13-15).
  • Provide support for major fundraising events on event day.
  • Other general clerical tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
  • Detail oriented, deadline driven and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photo editing/clipping experience a plus.
  • Prior work experience in at least one business setting and one sports setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball (preferred).


Schedule:

  • Approximately 20 hours per week; some night/weekend hours will be required, including games.

Please Note:

  • This is a seasonal opportunity and no benefits will be provided.
  • Seasonal staff members are paid $12.00/hour.
