Job Title: Reds Community Fund Marketing & Social Media Intern
Department: Reds Community Fund (RCF)
Reports To: Development and Marketing Manager
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Term: March – September 2025

Job Purpose:
Support the Reds Community Fund (RCF) with a variety of duties and responsibilities, such as marketing the RCF’s outreach and fundraising events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as part of the RCF social media team to develop and post content that maximizes engagement and amplifies the community fund objectives.
Write entertaining, accurate social media copy and interact with our audience in an authentic voice.
Stay up to date with current trends happening on various platforms.
Contribute innovative ideas for new projects and campaigns.
Help staff RCF events at the ballpark and off-site locations, including the Reds Youth Academy.
Assist in coordinating MLB’s Play Ball Weekend events (June 13-15).
Provide support for major fundraising events on event day.
Other general clerical tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge and familiarity with X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
Detail oriented, deadline driven and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photo editing/clipping experience a plus.
Prior work experience in at least one business setting and one sports setting (preferred).
Strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball (preferred).

Schedule:

Approximately 20 hours per week; some night/weekend hours will be required, including games.

This is a seasonal opportunity and no benefits will be provided.
Seasonal staff members are paid $12.00/hour.
