About the Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant to support the Public Affairs team. In this role, you will assist in the coordination and execution of public affairs projects including neighborhood engagement, government relations, and community outreach efforts. You will also perform administrative duties and streamline departmental processes to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met. This positoin reports to the Senior Manager, Public Affairs.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project support for the Public Affairs team and assist with neighborhood relations, civic engagement campaigns, and government relations initiatives
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events, coordinate RSVPs, prepare materials and handle event logistics
- Track and manage project timelines, achievements, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate documentation for projects, including meeting notes, task lists, and reports
- Organize and distribute neighborhood alerts and updates to community partners
- Support ticket management and sponsorship logistics, ensuring proper inventory tracking and distribution
- Handle departmental administrative needs, including invoicing, expense tracking, and calendar management
- Monitor local legislation and policy developments in the Bay Area, providing updates and insights to support Public Affairs initiatives and organizational priorities, as needed.
- Support community and neighborhood engagement efforts
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment on public affairs initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Political Science/Communications, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year of project or administrative experience, preferably in public affairs, government relations, or community engagement
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization and community
- Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
Time Commitment
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel locally for events and meetings
Compensation
- $22.00 - 23.00 per hour + Bonus
