Position Overview

The Greensboro Swarm is looking for an energetic and highly motivated performer to tackle the role of the official team mascot. Candidate should be athletic, physically fit, with a strong interest in the performance or entertainment industry. Prior mascot experience preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform as the character, with possibility of performing as additional characters
Perform at all Swarm home games and appearances as assigned
Assist in creating skits, videos, and other creative projects as assigned
Work to grow the Swarm brand and character in keeping with the overall direction and goals of Greensboro Swarm
Maintain mascot costume, props, mascot vehicle as needed to ensure the highest quality at all times
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

Ability to perform high impact physical maneuvers such as dunking off a trampoline, performing stunts tumbling, etc.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Presents self in professional manner and has the ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts
Strong project management skills
Strong Social skills –listens to others, works well in a team environment
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Planning and organizing, can prioritize work activities; uses time efficiently
Detail Oriented
Adaptability – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent changes
Dependability – consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions
Available to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work a rigorous NBA G-League schedule including, but not limited to 24 home games as well as select events and/or appearances
Must be at least 21 years old
