The role of the Business Operations Manager

Brentford FC are recruiting a Business Operations Manager to drive a rigorous approach to business planning and change management, and who will function as a centralised project office for strategic and operational projects across the Club. The successful candidate will plan, manage, and report on the progress of key projects and lead on change management processes that will support the implementation of the strategic agenda. This is a high impact role that will drive club-wide operational efficiency and growth, and support Brentford FC’s continued ambition to thrive in the Premier League.

Main Accountabilities

  • Programme manage and report on key change and operational projects in accordance with the Strategic Plan and Club priorities
  • Manage the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at driving business transformation and organisational change
  • Manage the Club’s KPI dashboards and reporting metrics, and support the integration of automated reporting into day-to-day club business
  • Support the development of the off-field Strategic Plan and manage reporting against it in collaboration with the Head of Business Operations and members of the Club’s ExCo
  • Support with the identification, mapping, and implementation of key business processes in collaboration with Heads of Department
  • Coordinate Club ExCo meetings and ensure a strategic ExCo agenda in line with Club priorities and the Strategic Plan
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in diarising, setting agendas, taking minutes, actions and follow ups for the COO’s key steering groups
  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer in the preparation and formatting of documents, reports, and presentations as required
  • Identify and provide outstanding business support solutions to members of the Brentford FC Executive Committee and their departments. This will include investigating opportunities to source support services from external virtual services providers
  • Act as a trusted adviser to project Accountable Executives
