Community Relations Seasonal Assistant

Position Summary:

This position will provide support to all persons in the Community Relations department. This is a seasonal, paid position that will require 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work evening and weekend hours as dictated by the department events and game day responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with various events, programs and initiatives related to the Community Relations department, including but not limited to NFL initiatives, player outreach, youth and high school football and Legends outreach
  • Aid with the support of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon programs and initiatives
  • Oversee and manage all department databases
  • Attend and assist with various internal and external events where Atlanta Falcons talent is requested
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of Community Relations game day operations
  • Lead the management of @FalconsCR Instagram and X accounts; keeping accounts constantly updated through engagement and content
  • Assist with supporting the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon social media accounts
  • Assist with processing, fulfilling and shipping donations using Donation Xchange
  • Manage Community Relations inventory including: appearance attire, equipment, giveaways and promotional items
  • Assist with taking, compiling and reporting out various department meeting notes
  • Assist with events and special group visits during Atlanta Falcons Training Camp
  • Respond to and fulfill all Community Relations mail inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of department related areas within the teams facilities
  • Update and maintain various Community Relations staff meeting materials on a weekly basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required
  • Experience in planning and executing event operations and social media preferred
  • At least one year experience working in the sports industry preferred

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
