Intern, Integrated Communications
Term: January - October 2025
Part-time/Seasonal: up to 30 hours per week
Location: Salt River Fields (Scottsdale) & Chase Field (Phoenix)
Internship Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a junior, senior, postgraduate student, or within 1 year post-graduation with preferred majors of Journalism, Communication, Business, or related field. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
Primary Duties:
- Assist in various writing projects to support business, corporate, community, marketing and special project communications (e.g. press releases, advisories, social media posts)
- Participate in idea generation and execution for new/unique/creative ways to get more guests to the ballpark for both baseball games and ADEE events
- Build and maintain strong traditional media and social media influencer lists
- Establish relationship with local and VIP influencers, finding opportunities for them to create awareness/buzz around Chase Field, the Diamondbacks and other events
- Attend corporate and community events to assist with on-site media, capture content
- Help create and deliver media kits to traditional media and influencers
- Work with other departments and assist with communication efforts, i.e. group sales, Advantage Members, marketing, community, etc.
- Create regular media and social reports
- Available 5-7 days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Strong communication and advanced writing skills
- Knowledge of sports a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner, often under tight deadlines
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with media
- Ability to work individually or as part of a group, all while maintaining what’s best for the team.
