The Arizona Diamondbacks are seeking candidates who are passionate about content creation and producing digital materials (e.g. video, graphic design, etc.) for players and coaches in the organization. Qualified applicants will provide valuable support services to the Mental Performance Department and Baseball Operations staff. This is an entry-level paid internship for the 2024 season.
Logistics:
Length β This internship will offer two time periods. Candidates can apply for one or both of the options below:
March-June
July-October
Time commitment β Hours are flexible and range from 25-30 hrs/week
Location β Interns will be expected to work out of our Spring Training complex (Salt River Fields at Talking Stick) in Scottsdale, Arizona. There may be limited opportunities to work remotely, but preference will be given to those who can commit to working out of our complex for the majority of their hours.
Responsibilities & Opportunities:
Developing, editing, and producing digital content for Baseball Operations with a focus on player development (e.g. educational, motivational).
Creating content for in-house social media platforms.
Researching public and open-source materials for content related to mental performance, leadership, culture, etc.
Collaborating with staff across departments on various internal projects.
Additional Preferences:
Qualified candidates will possess or be in progress towards a Bachelorβs degree in Film and Media Production, Graphic Design, Communications or a closely related field.
1+ years of experience in video editing/production
Demonstrated interest in sports (specifically baseball)
Candidates with proficiency in graphic design are highly desirable
