Intern Requirements:

  • Must be a senior or postgraduate student, or within one-year post-graduation with preferred majors of Data Analytics, Business, or another quantitative major, pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
  • Must be able to work in-person at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ the entire duration of the internship, this is not a remote position.
  • Maximum of 30 hours per week

Term: February 2024 – October 2024 (exact dates to be determined)

Position Summary:

Are you passionate about software development and eager to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a professional baseball team? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Software Development Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers and business stakeholders, gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies, and contribute to exciting projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development, deployment, and testing of scalable, efficient cloud-based web applications
  • Work on projects related to web and cloud-based applications using Azure, SQL, C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, React, and CosmosDB.
  • Learn and apply software development best practices and coding standards.
  • Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing code.
  • Support the team in various software development tasks, including code reviews, documentation, and testing.
  • Create documentation of processes and code to build knowledge base
  • Communicate and consult with external stakeholders, managers, and peers to gather and execute project requirements

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • An eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A curious mindset with a desire to ask questions and seek solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic knowledge or exposure to some of the following technologies is a plus:
    • Azure
    • SQL
    • C# (or a related OOP language)
    • .NET Core
    • JavaScript
    • React
    • CosmosDB
    • Git
