Reporting: Senior Manager, Business Development

Job Summary:

The Account Manager, Group Sales & Hospitality is responsible for managing and generating revenue through Group sales of ticketing and premium inventory. Inventory includes the selling of full-season memberships, partial memberships, group tickets, and premium areas.

The Account Manager is also responsible for providing existing Season Ticket Members & Group Sales Accounts with excellent customer service, managing such Season-Ticket-Member relationships, and aiding and maintaining continuous contact to renew accounts while also gathering referrals to generate new business.

The Account Manager, Group Sales & Hospitality must have a proven track record in Group sales and be a professional and self-motivated individual.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Independently identify and develop new group sales opportunities by prospecting current and past clients, cross selling, true dedication to prospecting and hosting in-arena appointments.
  • Drive new revenue in Arizona Coyotes season, partial, and group ticket packages.
  • Develop, open, and maintain effective channels of communication with each client to provide exceptional client service (via phone, email, text & face-to-face interaction)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and liaison between the Ticketing & Premium department and other departments within the Arizona Coyotes
  • Develop independent strategies and procedures to provide regular updates to clients on campaigns that directly affect their account
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new group accounts
  • Develop and implement strategies and procedures to introduce to continually grow revenue in your assigned group category. Maximize renewals and incremental opportunities.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks and create, plan, and implement new group theme nights each season.
  • Performing group related responsibilities, including entertaining clients and fulfilling group night experiences and/or commitments.
  • Handle a high level of sales activity, including a minimum 250 calls / week and meet sales goals.
  • Represent, actively promote, and sell tickets at events; including games, outside ticket events, ticket on-sales not excluding nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Meet and exceed all weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals for the Coyotes and related events.
  • Other duties as assigned by the SVP, Ticketing and Premium and Senior Manager, Business Development.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to develop creative ways to increase revenues
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and assess customer needs.
  • Firm understanding of Arizona Coyotes ticket products and services.
  • Character traits include honest & enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and desire to work in sports
  • Self-starter who is motivated to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Education and Formal Training:

  • Bachelors degree required

Experience:

  • A minimum of (1-2) year professional sports team group sales experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience in promoting a variety of ticket/membership packages in a team, arena, or membership environment.

Materials and Equipment Used:

  • Office equipment: Daily use of Ticketmaster Archtics, Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, KORE Software, Zipwhip, Excel, and Word
